The Auction & Purchase Process

Our five-step process guides you from winning the auction to receiving your vehicle.

Step 1: Win the Auction
Place bids to compete for the vehicle. The highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the right to purchase. The final winning bid is the all-inclusive price you pay — no separate buyer’s premiums or hidden fees.

Step 2: Deposit to Secure Your Vehicle
After winning, a dedicated Agent from Rogers Cars will contact you. The Agent will request a deposit as agreed by the Auctioneer to secure the vehicle. This deposit is applied directly to your final purchase price — it is not an extra fee.

Step 3: Vehicle Transport to You
Once your deposit has been paid and confirmed, we schedule transport of the vehicle directly to your address. We offer free delivery for the first 1,000 km, with a distance-based fee of $1 per km applying thereafter. Typical delivery takes 3–12 business days.

Step 4: Delivery & Final Payment
The vehicle is delivered directly to you. Upon delivery, the remaining balance of the purchase price is due. Your Agent will provide payment details and instructions. Any outstanding finance on the vehicle is formally finalised and cleared by the finance partner, ensuring a clean transfer of ownership.

Step 5: Inspection Period & Registration Transfer
Once final payment is received, your 10-day inspection period begins. Use this time to ensure everything meets your expectations. If the vehicle doesn’t match its disclosed condition, you may request a refund — processed within 48–72 hours. We then complete the registration transfer with the relevant state authority, finalising the vehicle in your name.

Vehicle Sourcing & Our Role

Understanding the vehicle’s origin and our role as your auction partner.

Vehicle Origin:
This vehicle is a finance-recovered asset. It is currently held by a finance partner and is being auctioned to satisfy an outstanding obligation. We source our vehicles exclusively from these finance partners, not from public sales.

Our Role in the Auction:
We are an Authorised Auction Broker. We do not own this vehicle. We professionally manage this auction process on behalf of the finance partner to ensure a fair, transparent, and direct transaction between the partner and the winning bidder.

Winning Bid is the Final Price:
Our commission is paid by the finance partner and is structured into the auction. This means the winning bid amount is the final amount you pay. There are no additional “buyer’s premium” fees added on top of your bid.

Clear Ownership Transfer:
This vehicle is sold with all necessary steps taken to ensure a clear transfer of ownership. As a mandatory condition of the sale, the finance partner finalises any outstanding finance before the vehicle is transferred into your name. Your deposit helps facilitate this process by covering the remaining finance obligation on the vehicle.

Current Location & Status:
This vehicle is held in a secure, enclosed partner facility and is not in public use. It remains in storage until the auction is won and the required deposit is confirmed. Once the deposit is received, we arrange transport of the vehicle directly to your address. Upon delivery, the remaining balance is due and your 10-day inspection period begins.
