To initiate the “Bid” or “Buy Now” process, you must first complete registration with Heavy Thing, Pty Ltd. This quick process includes:

  • Creating your Free Membership account
  • Submitting a government-issued photo ID for verification
  • Confirming your contact details

Your privacy matters to us—we use secure encryption to protect your personal information and complete most verifications within 2 hours during business hours.

2. Vehicle Research & Inspection

Know What You’re Bidding On

We believe in transparent transactions. For each vehicle in our inventory, we provide:

  • Comprehensive condition inspection covering exterior, interior, and mechanical details
  • High-resolution photos capturing the vehicle from multiple angles

Use these resources to research and shortlist vehicles with confidence before placing your bid. Please note: once you’ve won the auction and your deposit is confirmed, the vehicle will be transported to you for a personal inspection (see Steps 5 & 6).

3. Bidding & Buying

We’ve streamlined our acquisition process to make your experience seamless:

Setting Your Bid: Determine the amount you’re ready to invest in your next vehicle.

Buy It Now: Skip the waiting game! Select “Buy Now” to immediately secure a vehicle at the listed price and bypass the auction entirely.

Remember, your bids represent serious commitments to purchase. Only place offers on vehicles you’ve thoroughly researched and are prepared to own.

4. Winning & Deposit

Securing Your Vehicle

Congratulations — you’ve won! Here’s what happens next:

  • You’ll receive immediate notification of your win via email
  • A dedicated Agent from Heavy Thing, Pty Ltd will contact you to guide you through the next steps
  • Your Agent will request a deposit to secure the vehicle

A deposit as agreed by the Auctioneer is payable to the Agent upon winning the auction. Once received, your vehicle will be scheduled for transport. This amount will be applied directly to the final purchase price.

Our dedicated team stands ready to assist with any questions during this step, ensuring a smooth transaction from bid to ownership.

5. Transport

We Bring the Vehicle to You

Once your deposit has been confirmed, your vehicle will be transported directly to you. We handle all the logistics:

  • Free delivery for the first 1,000 km, then just $1 per km beyond
  • Typical delivery timeframes of 3–12 days

6. Delivery & Inspection

Your Time to Decide

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the vehicle. Your Agent will provide payment details and instructions.

Inspection Period: Once you’ve received the vehicle, you’ll have a 10-day inspection period. Use this time to ensure everything meets your expectations.

Changed Your Mind?: If the vehicle doesn’t meet expectations during the inspection period, simply request a refund. Refunds are processed within 48–72 hours and include delivery charges. We’ll arrange return transport at no cost to you.

We handle the rego transfer process for you, including all paperwork and state requirements. We’ll complete the transfer and confirm once the vehicle is registered in your name.
